My 99 dodge durango ran fine until today. All of a sudden it started ideling funny, misfiring cylinders 1, 3, 5, and7, shaking violently and now wont stay running for more than 2 minutes. Obdii said multiple misfires and that was it. Thought it might be the fuel pump going out but I dont want to spend 200 bucks on a hunch. After a few minutes, it will start back up, idel but badly, misfire and die. Reving it up just makes it die quicker. Any suggestions?

Hi:
A random misfire can be from several things such as coil, map sensor, mass air flow sensor. Were any other codes identified? Also, I agree with you. I don't think the fuel pump has anything to do with this. It sounds electrical.
