Hi:
When the gauge drops, how low does it go? Do you ever hear any knocking or ticking from the engine?

I spent about $100 to find out that in my Durango it was caused by an intermittent pressure sensor, not an engine problem.

Hi:
That is why I wanted to know if you were hearing any knocking or ticking when it dropped. If you didn't, the oil sending unit was the problem. If you did, then I would have looked at the engine.
Regardless, I'm glad it's fixed. Let us know if you have questions in the future.
