no oil at top end has new pump and shaft

Do you have oil pressure? Is the oil full? Are you getting a ticking from the top end and any knocking from the bottom end?

no oil pressure. yes full on oil and ticking in top end.

When you installed the new oil pump, did you rotate the pump body it insure driveshaft engagement? Here is a picture of the distributor drive shaft with the pump. You can see how it has to go together. If it isn't, you need to remove the pump and reinstall it. If you have a new pump, you should have pressure.
