Approx. 4 months ago my water pump went out and it was replaced. My heater will blow cold air, and the temp rises on the engine causing my sensor to go off, telling me that my car is over-heating. I put in more coolant. I can't seem to see where the annti-freeze is leaking from, and don't think that it is the thermostat or heater core. This has been going on for a bit (I know, dumb but I haven't any money) Now, my car sometimes has a hard time going or doesn't want to shift. What should I look at first? hoses? radiator? I know nothing about cars. Please help me.

Need to check for leaks
best way to go about this is to have coolant system pressure test
checking hoses and clamps
