Without seeing it it's hard to say, may have to remove it. One technique is to cut the hose in half and take one side out at a time. If that is possible. Not always possible due to restrictions. You may need a set of long pliers to reattach new one and lightly lube the hose to help its slide on easier but it sounds lime you will need to remove the bracket
