my husband is in the process of tuning up this durango that we got from his brother in law. he is getting ready to change the spark plugs but said he has not ever changed ones with heat shields before. he would like to have you explain the process of removal and replacement with the heat shields.

You can push the shield towards the engine, this will expose the rubber boot, twist the boot to loosen and pull the whole thing, shield and all! Wiggle as you pull...
