1998 Dodge Durango brake lights

when i went to push on my brakes my pedal snapped i bought the parts but now that it's fixed the brake lights are stuck on. not the dashlight but the actual brake lights and i can't get them to turn off. i even have to disconnect my battery to get them to go off. do you have any suggestions

Your brake light switch is faulty or out of adjustment. It is connected on brake pedal arm. When the brake pedal is released, it opens the brake light circuit, preventing the brake lights from illuminating. Check to make sure the switch is contacting the brake pedal stop where it should.
