I have a 1998 Dodge Durango (automatic), having problems accelerating around the 30 mph mark (not sure what gear this would be). If you baby it up you can pass this shift mark, but if you have your foot as you would normally drive the rpms jump up into the red zone. This only happens around the 30 mph mark, it shifts fine when I am on the freeway.

It sounds like the trans is missing the shift or not shifting fast enough. Has the check engine light come on? It could be a shift solenoid and that would trigger the engine light.

Hi:
Chances are it is a shift solenoid.

Took to a trans place and they said nothing wrong with transmission, said it was in good shape for a dodge. Not sure what the problem is, have taken to a couple of people but since no error codes they have said just a guessing game basically. Have replaced the front oxygen sensor, the idle control sensor and the throttle position sensor. None have helped the problem; however, my a/c sure does work better. Going to replace the rear oxygen sensor next.

They are being honest when they say it is a guessing game without the code. I still say it is a shift solenoid, but can't be 100 % sure without the code.
