door stuck

Hi all. New here. I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota with about 60,000 miles on it. A friend of mine was a little tipsy the other night and pulled on the passeger side door very hard with the lock half engaged. Now I can't get the door open. It pops open an inch maybe, enough to have to push on it to be fully closed. I thought about taking the inside panel off, but is that possiible without opening the door?
Help please. I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks and need to get this fixed. Family coming in and all.
