When I started my 2004 dodge dakota this morning there was (and still is) a loud "lawn mower type motor" noise coming from the engine near the belt. It is significantly loud and was very alarming. I'm not the most vehicle savvy person. Wish I was. FYI- I am in a definite need of an oil change. Pretty black oil. Transmission fluid is nice a red. Thanks for the help

After changing the oil and playing with the accelerator a bit, the oil pressure level normalized. Bad fuel pump I think.

I apologize. I meant to type OIL PUMP.
Truck seems to be running normal now. The engine isn't knocking anymore, oil pressure is normal.I'm going to keep a close eye on my oil pressure. Thanks for catching that.
