2003 Dodge Dakota throttle position sensor or transmission

When going at a steady speed rpm guage will go up slightly approx. 250-300 then back down doesnt fill like trainsmission is jerking or engine being (dragged down) had trainsmission flushed and filled also changed both filters @ 90,000 engine has new OEM plugs and all routine maint.

Well it sounds like the transmission torque convertor is locking in and out of OD. This will change the rpm about 2-300 rpm as you say. Does this happen more at any paticular speed? Do you have access to a scan tool?

Responding to your question, it happens when cruising @55 or 65 depending on H-way or Interstate. Also I've noticed that shift points are slightly higher than normal, but are still smooth shifts. What should I do? Yes, I do have a scan tool. No check engine light has come on or no pending codes.

Ok this could be the TPS or the vehicle speed sensor. So tell me is there any codes pending or otherwise?
