2003 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

it idles good but when it is put in gear it has no power-like it is going to die

Has the check engine light come on? Also, have you checked the catylatic converter to make sure it isn't plugged? Finally, have you checked fuel pump pressure?
