2003 Dodge Dakota 2003 Dodge Dakota - 3 Wheel Drive??

With the vehicle on jack stands at all four corners, engine running, and transmission in drive, if 4wd is selected, the rear wheels and the left front wheel turn, but not the right front wheel.

Selecting 2wd engages only the rear wheels as it should.

With the vehicle not running, there is significant resistance when turning the right front wheel over by hand, much more so than the left. The resistance is not brake related.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
