2002 Dodge Dakota stuck drum??

trying to pull the drums off my 02 dakota. I believe I've backed the star wheel off , but the drum only moves about a 1/2 inch. I've used a 3 lb hammer and that doesnt help. what am i doin wrong??

You still haven't backed your adjuster off far enough. The self adjusting lever will keep you from back off the star adjuster. You need to go in through the adjuster hole with a second small screwdriver and hold the self adjuster lever back so you can turn the star.
