2002 Dodge Dakota harness for the heater and air conditioni

The resister in the truck near the blower burns out and nothing works I tested the blower and it works and if I replace the resister it works but the wires seem to got hot I have replaced it 3 times how can I test the harness wires or replace the harness?

Suspect a tight motor. When a motor slows down, current will go up. The higher current is what causes the wires to get warm and will lead to early failure of the resistor assembly.
