I have a 2002 dakota 5.9 RT with 92,000, I have added a K&N cold air intake, Valve covers, Taylor spark plug wires NGK plugs, Heat shield around the plugs that fits in the exhaust manafold -- Here is the problem - when the engine is warmed up or if I am carrying any weight in the box and I go to accelerate (hard) there is a ticking/knocking noise, and I feel a hesitation in the gas pedal -- Tried new plugs, distributor cap & rotor, fuel cleaner etc. Any suggestions would help
Thanks

Sounds like it is loading up. Is the spark plug gap right, or heat range? Maybe try a higher octange gas like 91 try them and get back to me
