how to take off a front drive shaft

REmove the two U-bolts from the front (universal Joint) and that section will come off. Be careful not to bang the joint because there are rollar bearings that will move around and cause problems putting it back together if the end caps come off.

At the rear of the drive shaft it is bolted to the output shaft from the transfer case. Unbolt it and the entire driveshaft will come off.
