I resently replaced the driver side window regulator on my 2001 Dodge Dakota. It worked fine for a few weeks but now each time I move the window up and down the window comes off the black window track clips.
I took the clips off and pinched them together tighter
thinking that would help. The window still rides off the clips. The window seems to be in alinement.
Any ideas on the how to keep window in track clips ?
Thanks for any help.

Honestly, they make an adhesive that is almost like a string. Manufacturers use it as a gluing substance. If you go to the dealer or parts store, let them know what you are doing and ask them if they have the "gummy" adhesive that the manufacturers use to hold parts together. I wish I knew the name, but I can't. Place it in the track and then press the window into it. It should hold for years.
