2001 Dodge Dakota rack and pinion

I replaced upper and lower bushings and rack and pinion 2 years ago-less than 20,000 miles. Just found out these things are bad. How can this be? Sounds like I've been duped.

Did you get a second opinion? I agree with you that it is hard to believe they went bad that fast.
