Taking Into account clearance space with the hood could you take out the air filter that comes with the truck and put on a round air filter, like you see on older muscle cars. The reason to have hirer air flow with a real scoop on a replacement hood.

I doubt that you have the clearance. Also, is there a way to stop water from getting into the filter?
