I have 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad 4x4 with 98,000 miles. It has a 4.7 v-8. The truck makes a squeaking noise (much like the sound of a dry universal joint)which is coming from the rear of the truck and only does it when you make a turn left or right at a slow speed. It does not make the noise when going straight even under load. I have checked the universals they are good and the dealer service department has not a clue(which by the way is no surprise) Thank you for your help

I have an 2000 quad cab dakota with what sounds like the same problem eveytime I turn at slow speeds it make the sound. I've come to ignore it because its sounds the same as it did the first time I heard it. My truck has 250,000 miles on it so i expect it to make some noises. Still would like to know what it is too.
