Idles up and down some, not all the time, when pulling out will not take fuel, push in nuteral and will then take fuel.

As far as the irratic idle, chances are the idle air control valve is bad. However, that shouldn't cause the problem when you put it in gear. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Has the check engine light come on?
