When starting the truck it cranks up and dies as if it is not idling. If you keep your foot on the gas pedal it runs but as soon as you take your foot off the gas pedal it dies. You can re-start it a couple of times then it will run normally. It has happened a couple of times. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Thanks.

It sounds like a bad idle air control valve or throttle position sensor. Has the check engine light come on?

No check engine light, but now oil pressure gauge is jumping on acceleration.
