2000 Dodge Dakota Transmission shifting

When my truck is cold it won't shift. It starts in second and won't shift into overdrive. If I turn the truck off and restart it, it will shift. It throws the check engine light and code comes up P1784 - pressure switch. How do I fix the problem?

It sounds like a govenor problem. I would recommend a trans tech to service this problem.
