i have a analog and a digital multimeter and how should i go about testing my battery with both of these meters and what should the readings be showing if the battery is good or bad. would i set the meters to the volt dial or what should i set the dial to to test the battery

Hi there ,

The multi meter will only show the voltage it should be around 12.5 Volts, , but it will not give a true indication as to its condition, you will need a hydrometer to test the specific gravity of the electrolyte or get the battery load tested.
