My 2000 Doddge Dakota will not start if does not start it on the first attempt, and acts like it is flooded. After letting the truck sit for a while it will start. The check engine light came on and has been going on and off periodically. I have never had the PCV or O2 sensor changed. Can this be a possible solution?

Check the trouble codes. Some of the national brand autostores will check po codes for free. When was the last time you had a tuneup? How is the fuel pressure?

Hey, If you don't have a fuel pressure gage, you need to get one. Checking fuel pressure is a maintenance issue. They don't cost that much at the discount stores. They're not the best, but, better than nothing.
