THis is an involved process. I do recommend getting a manual with step by step instructions and pictures to help you identify parts. However, I will give you the general steps.

Lift and safely secure the rear of the truck.

Remove tires, brake drums, and brakes.

remove rear differential cover and drain gear lube.

Remove retainer clips on axle.

Carefully remove axle.

Remove old seal and replace it. I recommend replacing the bearing at the same time. Also, check the axle for wear. It can destroy a new seal in one day.

Reverse the order to replace. NOTE: Make sure to place a thin film of gear lube on the new seal so it slids into position easy and the dry axle doesn't rip it.
