2000 Dodge Dakota knocking noise

My truck was fine, until i changed the oil and the pcv valve, know everytime i start my truck there is knocking noise coming from it, but after i drive for a while and then let it sit and idle the noise goes away, can you help me?

Hi there,

You may have an oil pressure problem, fist try fitting a new oil filter, and get a cold and hot oil pressure reading with a master gauge, this will give a true indication as to engine oil pressure, do this first and report back you findings.
