2000 Dodge Dakota hi i am trying to find out a problem on m

well the problem i am having is that the check engin light came on and at the same time my tranmission is starting to shift weaird and i took it in to get the transmission serviced,so it still has the light on and the problem is still there and i know there is a speed sensor on the transmission and i am about 98%that is the problem it shifts fine in less i get into the gas hard and then it wount shift till about 4000 rpm and i keep reg mant on the truck i dont have much money and all the shops around want to charge me to tell me whats wrong with it, I am a US ARMY VET and i would like if someone could help me please

Cycle ignition key on off on off on
read P0000 codes in the odometer area
most likely and common is the speed sensor on the side of the tranny its under $30
and u can unscrew it and screw the new one in
than reset the codes by remove negative battery cable for a min or so

Output speed sensor fault
1st step would be to remove and replace the output speed sensor
if have the $$$ replace input and output sensor s
