I have replaced both battery cables and I still have an issue when trying to start the truck. It just clicks as if the battery is dead. I have had battery checked. It is strong. I suspect the starter. Is this a common problem for this model? Thanks.

Hi:
What you need to do is have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check the smaller wire on the starter for 12 volts. If you have it, remove the starter and have it bench tested at a parts store. Chances are the solenoid is bad.

Let me know what you find.
