1999 Dodge Dakota burns oil

burns oil and is not going into coolant or other parts of engine and there is not a leak. does not smoke a lot.

At 76K it shouldn't be burning oil. How much comes out of the exhaust, does it come out the entire time the engine is running, and how many miles do you have to drive the car before you need to add a quart?

I think it is the intake pan/gasket it only smokes sometimes and uses oil if i run or accelerate hard
