1999 Dodge Dakota V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

how do you get to the torque converter bolts to remove the transmission and also do you have to remove the transfer case

The transfer case needs to come off first. As far as the torque converter, there is an inspection plate between the trans and engine. Remove it to access the bolts.
