I'm trying to figure out how to change the front shocks on my truck. I have a haynes manual that tells me to use an open-end wrench or locking pliers on the flats of the shock rod to keep the shock from turning. The coil spring does not allow me any room to work! I can remove the lower bolts and the shock hangs free, yet I cant find a place to keep the shock from turning. Help?
