Why is my check engine light is on after changing freeze plugs?

THe replacement of the freeze plugs didn't trigger the light. Chances are you have disconnected something and didn't reconnect it or you bumped something that came disconnected. Recheck your work. Also, if you want, take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most will do it for free, and then you will know where to look.
