THE VEHICLE MAKES A CLICKING NOISE WHEN YOU GO TO START IT THAT SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM THE AREA OF THE STARTER, BUT THE STARTER HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE AS WELL A NEW BATTERY AND NEW BATTERY POST CONECTORS BUT I STILL GET A CLICKING NOISE, I HAVE ALSO INQURIED IF IT MIGHT BE A STARTER RELAY BUT WAS TOLD ON THAT YEAR OF VECHICLE IT WAS ALL DONE THRU THE STARTER THERE IS NO STARTER RELAY ON A 1998, EVERTHING HAS BEEN DONE THAT I CAN THINK OF EXCEPT REPLACING THE BATTERY CABLES BUT THEY SEEM TO BE OK, I'M WONDERING WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THIS NOISE AND GIVES IT A PROBLEM WITH STARTING, THE VECHICLE SEEMS TO GET GOOD POWER AND DOESNT MISFIRE OR NOTHING WHEN YOU GET IT STARTED AND DRIVING IT AND DOES GOOD WHEN SHIFTING, I'M AT A LOSS PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAL OF WHAT IS GOING ON.

Hi there,

I would have the starter removed and tested, check all the power & earth connections at the starter & the battery, also check that the starter solenoid is getting 12V on crank. Start here.
