The battery is dead and can not be charged by jumping. We have purchased a new battery and can not get hte bots off the old one. What tool do we need? We have tried a socket size 1/2 and 7/16. The 1/2 is too large, the 7/16 is too small. We thought a 15/32 but can't find one. Is there any other way to get these bolts off? It is driving me crazy and I have a real problem with paying to have it towed just to have someone charge me to put in a battery. any help is appreciated.

Hello

I understand the frustration. It is most likely a metric, probably a 10mm, 11mm or I have seen them 12mm. When you say you can not get them off I take it that the socket keeps spinning not that they are corroded on.

If this doesn’t help, get back with us. But 90% of the items on your car are metric
