My truck will start but it quickly shuts off after turning the key. I have to keep my foot on the gas in park to keep it on and at some point it finally idles. But after driving for a few minutes, the engine quits and the stearing locks up. It did that the other night, but today, I took backroads to get to work and it drove completely fine. What would cause that? I did notice a pinched, leaking pipe leading to the radiator, so I first assumed it was overheating. Should I put more coollant in it?

Coolant and all fluids should be check and level always
was the battery removed and or disconnected ?
if so the PCM need to relearn idle
check list :
check for vacuum leaks
check and adjust all fluid to the proper level
clean throttle body
drive for about 5 to 10 miles
