1997 Dodge Dakota door locks - interior lights

when i use my keyless entry the locks are sluggish and the interior lights are very dim sometimes they dont even come on till i start my truck.

Do the lights work normal when you open it with a key?

Honestly, I think you have a weak ground. Check body grounds for rust, lose ones, or broken ones. If the battery is strong enough to start the vehicle and the interior lights are dim, that is where I would start.
