1997 Dodge Dakota V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

My truck is making a very loud clunking noise and the whole truck shudders when we make any turn (either left or right) and sometimes even on curves. What is it?

The truck has large joints in the front drive system that may be the problem. They are constant velocity joints.
