WE RECENTLY REPLACED THE ECM, SEEMS IT HAD A BAD CIRCUIT BOARD OR BAD CONNECTION INSIDE. THE ENGINE NOW STARTS FINE, RUNS FOR ONE OR TWO SECONDS AND SHUTS DOWN. THE ECM STOPS FIRING THE INJECTORS. IF WE SPRAY CARB CLEANER IN THE INTAKE, THE ENGINE WILL CONTINUE TO RUN. NO CODES AND CRANK AND CAM SENSORS SEEM FINE. ANY IDEAS?

Is it a new ECM or a used one?
Did you have the ECM REPROGRAMMED?

THANKS FOR A SPEEDY RESPONSE. THE ECM IS A REMANUFACTURED ONE, IT HAS 'WARRANTY VOID IF REMOVED' STICKERS. "ALLDATA" SAYS NOTHING ABOUT PROGRAMMING A REPLACEMENT ECM. I HAVE CHANGED THEM ON JEEPS, AND ALL WE DO IS ENTER THE VIN WITH A SCANNER, AND THEY WORK FINE. WHEN WE ORDERED THE ECM, WE GAVE VIN # AND SER# OFF OLD ECM. KINDA PUZZLED!
