Electrical problem
1992 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a fuel injected dodge dakota I have cheked the fuses and replaced the coil, the plate in the base of the distributor, and the computer. I still dont have fire at the plugs. I was told that their was a junction of three wires to one, red with white stripes below the fuse relay box about six to eight inches down the harnes. I cheked it and it was in good shape. is there any thing that I have missed that can stop the coil from fireing?

I know you've replaced the coil did you check for battery voltage to it-also check the coil primary and 2ndary winding resistances.

when I tested the voltage to the coil I got 9 volts on the hot side and nothing on the ground and I do mean no ground potential. the resistance on the coil was within spec.

Do this remove coil wire and ground it while cranking over if its arching at the coil tower replace the coil. No start test:
