1991 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

why does it keep overheating? i had to rebuild the engine due to piston ring damage and i put a new water pump, thermostat, and thermostat housing on

make sure radiator fan(s) working properly. also have cooling system flushed to ensure no blockages
