1990 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My air conditioning doesnt work in my truck.i got the truck 6 months ago and noticed that i don't have any freon in it at all.i was wondering if maybe that is why the clutch on the compressor doesnt kick on and off .I noticed the expansion valve had some geasey type of substance on it.hoses look good.any tips would be great.thanks

Hi there,

If the refrigerant is low, the low pressure switch will shut down the system, you will need to have the system leak checked first, get this done next.
