can i use a solid roter in sted of a vented one , i just had to replace my front brakes and notice my roter on the pasanger side was chewed up so i went and bought a roter not knowing if it was vented or not i just assumed it was solid so to make a long story short i am now late for work and the parts store is closed so would it be ok to use the solid rotor on one side and a vented one on the other

Stay with the original type unless the parts store assures you they are both acceptable.
