1980 Dodge Colt Poor accelation or power

Engine Performance problem
1980 Dodge Colt 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 95 000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My car starts but it is missing when idling. When I put reverse or drive it does not have the power to go.

Checked plugs and found black but cleaned them and inserted back. No signs of blown gasket.


What can i do?

Is the check engine light on? also, check to make sure there are no restructions in the exhaust system and catylatic converter.
