could it be brake fluid? i found drippings it was a light color so I replace the flex hose I need to bleed the system now.

Hello,
Any time the brake system gets opened (i.e. changing caliper, master cylinder, brake hose/line), air will get into the system and will require bleeding the brakes to purge the air out.
