what is the normal idling oil pressure for a new rebuilt 340 engine with a high volumm oil pump?

That would depend on how loose the engine was set up (bearing clearances) and what weight oil is being used.At idle hot, I would think 15+ psi is more than enough as long as it goes up with engine rpm's.
