2003 Dodge Caravan, 107k miles, 6 cyl.

I left the key in the on position all night, when I got up in the morning and tried to start it the speedometer went around past 120 MPH and stayed there. I jumped started the car which kicked over right away. Now my speedometer does not work. What do I do to reset this so the speedometer works again?

I had the same exact problem with my 2002 yesterday. When I start it, the speedometer goes up to that little pin that it used to rest on when I shut it down. When it is shut down it sits much lower than it used to. Did this one get figure out?

Alright, I got it fixed! I held down the trip reset button and turned the ignition to the on postion, not starting it, just the on position. Held it for a few seconds and let go. It went through some process and reset all the instruments and said some stuff on the odometer display. When it was all done it worked and the speedometer needle was back in place. Hope this helps.
