My dodge caravan is a 96 and it has 165,000 miles on it. It is a V6 3.8 LE. My van acts up in the winter time only. When it starts to get cole out it will start bagging out ang back firing and die out. It will do that for about a half an hour and then it will come ut of it for about a week or less. We changed plugs and wires and my coil pack on it. Can you try and answer what could be wrong with my van?

If the check engine light is on, get the code(s) read, autozone will do it free. If no codes try the ECT=Electrnic Coolant tempersture sensor, this acts like your old choke.

What it means is the PCM, through the crank sensor, detected a misfire, or the crank sensor is cranky. If it runs poorly on cold starts, try the above mentioned part.
