I recently purchased a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.3L FWD that has 108,000 miles. I am noticing that there is looseness in the front suspension with a slight rattle when I go over bumps. Is this an indication that the struts are bad, or could it be something else?

Also, when stearing, I feel and hear a rubbing or squeeking in the front end, but I've checked the CV boots and they appear okay. Please let me know if you have ideas on this.

Thank you for your time.

Bad sway bar links are fairly common, look at the sway bar bushing to the frame for dry rot, looseness etc. Look at the left front strut tower for possible rot.
